Disney+ released the official trailer for the long awaited Andor Season 2 on 24 March 2025 and the first chapter of Andor Second Season will be streaming on Disney+ from April 22, with each subsequent chapter debuting weekly.
The trailer, below, contains a healthy dose of fresh footage from the Emmy nominated Star Wars drama series.
The new season will tie up the story and pave the way to the events in the 2016 film Rogue One.
The official summary of the new season: “Season two will find the characters and their relationships deepening as the horizon of war approaches and Cassian becomes an integral part of the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be pushed to their limits and, as the stakes grow higher, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become deep”
The trailer features the return of Ben Mendelsohn as his Rogue One character Director Orson Callan Krennic, and Rogue One favorite droid K-2SO, voiced by Alan Tudyk.
The last season will be released over 12 episodes divided into four chapters of three episodes each. The first chapter will debut April 22, with each subsequent chapter debuting weekly.
Creator Tony Gilroy says: “One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries. They are real people making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences. Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so thrilled for fans to see where we end up in season two.
Andor season 2 features Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau and Tudyk, with Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker.
